Unable to Breath

You feel tied up, squashed, unable to breath. You long to get away from life’s incessant demands, long to be free of all the expectations and requirements. The tightness in your body builds, the ‘inner’ inflammation becomes too unbearable and you react, “I want it to be different” is the meaning of whatever words you cry.

And right there is the gift that brings you home. Home to the realisation that you are not a limited self that needs to fight with, or run from life. Your real nature is already free, free as the open sky, and all the frustration, dissatisfaction and feelings of overwhelm are like clouds forming and dissolving in your infinitude.

And as the light of that understanding pervades the experience, you start to breath again.
